Caston Vienna Tutors was not born from a business plan. It was born from a child who noticed the ones being left behind, and later spent her whole career refusing to leave them behind. We are a multidisciplinary child development centre in Port Harcourt, and this is our story.

Our Story
01 The beginning

She noticed the children
everyone left behind

When Vienna was a child in a crowded classroom, she noticed something that would shape her entire life. The children who fell behind were not stupid. They were just not seen. Teachers moved past them impatiently. Classmates laughed at them. But she felt their confusion, their shame, and their silent plea.

"Someone, please, hold my hand and help me."

While other children played, Vienna found herself drawn to those struggling students, sitting beside them, explaining things to them, until when it finally clicked. That feeling became her compass.

02 The path changes

She tried law.
She chose children instead.

She thought she would become a lawyer, a champion for people who needed help but could not afford it. But she soon realised that the world would not pay her to defend those who could not pay her back. So she chose teaching.

But classroom teaching broke her heart in a different way. There were forty children. And each subject only has one hour. There was no time to kneel beside the child who was lost and whisper, "It's okay. Let's go at your pace." The system did not allow it.

So she stopped trying to fit into a system that was not built for these children. She started teaching one child at a time. She started Homeschooling. Finally, she could go at each child's pace.

03 The discovery

Then she discovered
something that changed everything

Some children did not need academic help. They needed a voice.

They were bright, capable, beautiful souls, but they could not speak. They could not communicate. A mother looked at Vienna with desperate eyes and said: "My daughter is six years old. She doesn't talk. She only repeats sentences from cartoons. I just want to hear her say 'Mama.'"

She went back.
She became what
they needed.

Vienna returned to training. She became a speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist. She built a team of specialists. And she pivoted. Since Caston Vienna Tutors was founded in 2019, it has become a place that would do what she wished someone had done for those children in her childhood classroom.

Today, CVT offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and behavioural therapy delivered at home or at our centre in Rumuodara, Port Harcourt. One child at a time. One family at a time.

We believe that when a child's foundational needs are met, such as sensory, motor, feeding, communication, everything else follows. Our work starts at the root, not the surface.

One family at a time. We are not trying to solve everything at once. We are building something that lasts: a generation of children who were seen, supported, and given the chance they deserved.

We tell parents the truth, even when it is not what they want to hear. If your child does not need us, we will tell you that. If they need a different specialist, we will tell you that too.

What started as speech therapy has grown into something much bigger: a team of specialists working across four disciplines, delivered at home or at our centre. Every service talks to every other. Because your child is not a checklist of problems. They are a whole person.

Speech & Language Therapy

Building communication: words, sentences, sounds, and the social art of conversation. For late talkers, children who stutter, and everything in between.

Occupational Therapy

Building the physical and sensory foundations for daily life: fine motor skills, self-regulation, sensory processing, and independence.

Feeding Therapy

Turning mealtimes from battles into breakthroughs. We address the sensory, motor, and behavioural roots of feeding difficulties.

Behavioural Therapy

Helping children understand and express their emotions, build routines, and develop the self-regulation they need for daily life.

A registered homeschooling company and certified speech therapy centre operating in Port Harcourt since 2019.

Home & Centre Based

Individual home visits across Port Harcourt, and group therapy sessions at our Rumuodara centre.

It is the baby's face.

That is it. That is the whole answer. When a child who could not speak says a word for the first time, not for us, not for the camera, but for themselves that is the moment we exist for.

How we work

Therapy that goes
wherever the child leads

We do not follow a fixed script. We follow the child in a structured environment that lets them lead us to where they are ready to grow.

Our parents work with us as facilitators of learning not as passive observers. In every session, you are shown what we are doing and why, so that you can carry it forward into everyday moments at home.

For children in our intensive program, a trained governess works alongside them throughout the day providing continuity of therapeutic support from morning to afternoon, reinforcing the work done in sessions and building routine in a structured, loving environment.

Our trained therapists and teachers come to you or you bring your child to us. Either way, they over-deliver. We focus on creating "aha!" moments. The kind that build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Child-led sessions

Every session is shaped by your child's interests, energy, and readiness on that day. Motivation drives progress and children who are interested are children who are learning.

You are not sent out of the room. You are in it, being shown techniques, asked questions, and equipped with strategies that work at mealtimes, bath time, and everywhere in between.

We keep you informed throughout the term. You should always know where your child is, what we are working on, and what the next milestone looks like.

All programs follow a structured term-based calendar. Sessions are consistent, predictable, and free from the endless make-up and rescheduling cycles that exhaust families.
